    About Speaker Wire You will need a wire that has at least two conductors; one that can be identified as the positive and the other as the negative. All two conductor wires have some means of identifying which conductor is which, but at times this identification may be subtle.

    1. Installing the Wire When choosing the point where the wire exits the house, remember that it’s best if less wire is exposed to the 0.25 - 0.5” outside elements. Try to find a point (6 - 12mm) in the wall as close to the speaker as possible when drilling a hole for the Speaker wire.
