I have had my unit for about 2 years now with no trouble but the other day some one came in and the alarm went off twice for the one vehicle (something it has never done before) it has not worked since. The batteries are still good. what are the possible problems?

Possible problems with the Dakota Alert DCPT-4000 alarm system that has stopped working after going off twice for one vehicle include:

1. Battery issues – The batteries may be drained or not making proper contact.
2. Interference – The system may be affected by storms or lightning, causing malfunction.
3. Signal blockage – Trees or other obstacles could block or weaken the signal.
4. Sensor or transmitter failure – The probe or transmitter may be damaged or defective.
5. Improper installation – Loose cables or incorrect setup could cause signal loss.
6. Sensitivity settings – Incorrect sensitivity may cause it to stop detecting vehicles properly.
