5 MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

- Before any intervention on the machine:
- Set the main switch to the OFF position and padlock it.
- Close the connection valve to the compressed air supply and padlock it.

5.1 General maintenance

Every day or every 10 hours:
- Visually check the machine.
- Clean cells and their reflectors.
- Replace damaged or missing straps.
- Replace twisted linking fingers.
- Remove any items that may remain trapped in the machine.
- Remove any lifting cords wrapped round the rollers or hooked to the strap lifting fingers.
- Check that the safety devices are working properly.
NEVER ALTER OR REMOVE A SAFETY DEVICE
Every week or every 50 hours (in addition to previous regular maintenance):
- Completely clean the machine, including vacuuming the electrical cabinet.
- Dust the electric motor fans.
Every month or every 200 hours (in addition to previous regular maintenance):
- Check the alignment and locking of the pulleys.
- Check the belt tension.
- See Chapter 5.1 Filter/Regulator maintenance.
- Check the clutch and brake air gap: 0.2mm.
- Check that the proper operation of the safety devices (emergency stop buttons,
safety sensor, grille).
Every year or every 2400 hours (in addition to previous regular maintenance):
- Grease the bearings using a pump.
- Change the FRL filter cartridge.
- Check the nuts are locked all over the machine.
- Check the tightness of the screws on the electrical frame and the motor terminals.
- Check the oil level in the motor reducers.
- Check the state of the compressed air pipes.
Every 3 years or every 5000 hours (in addition to previous regular maintenance):
Complete check of the machine by a technician.
