Heating system inspection and maintenance
Drinking water filter (if installed)
To maintain high hygiene standards, proceed as fol-
lows:

Replace the filter element on non-backwashing filters
every 6 months (visual inspection every 2 months).
■
On backwashing filters, backwash every 2 months.
Replacing fuses
Danger
Contact with 'live' components of the control unit
can lead to fatal injury due to electric shock.
Only a heating contractor may replace fuses.

Maintenance and cleaning work on the boiler
Have a heating contractor clean the interior of the
boiler twice a year.

Activities
Every 7 days
Check the fill level of the ash box and
empty it if required.
Visually inspect the light barriers and
clean them if required.
After 2000 to 4000 hours run
Clean combustion chamber and combus-
tion grate
Clean flue gas fan
Clean Lambda probe
Clean flue gas collector chamber
Check heat exchanger pipe; clean if nec-
essary
Clean the reversing chamber
Clean the ash chamber and ash removal
parts
Check the light barriers and sight glasses;
clean if necessary
Check expansion vessel and system
pressure
4000 hours when operating with pellets, 2000 to 4000 hours when operating with woodchips, interval subject to fuel quality.
