Appendix 1: Custom Racking Instructions

You can install an EqualLogic FS7500 in a tooled rack only if you contact your PS Series support provider and
obtain a different controller rail kit than the kit that is shipped with the controller. In addition, you must
reconfigure the BPS rail kit to support a tooled rack.
Reconfiguring the BPS Rails for a Tooled Rack (Special
Configuration)
To reconfigure the BPS rail brackets, perform these steps on each rail:
1. Remove the two screws on the front brackets (callout 1 in Figure 53) and rotate each piece 180 degrees
(callout 2).
2. Reattach the brackets using the same two screws (Figure 54).
