INSTALLATION

Placing the Receiver and Connecting the Antennas

Place the receiver on a plane surface. Connect the antennas provided to the antenna jacks and put them in
a vertical position. For best transmission quality, place the receiver at the height of the microphones and
maintain a line-of-sight between the devices. Make sure the reception is not interfered with objects in the
transmission path or other radio transmitters. Avoid obstacles between the devices such as metal, dense
materials, computers or other RF generating equipment (at least 50 cm distance). The transmitter also
should have a distance of approx. 1 m from lateral walls. For 483 mm rack installation (19"), the unit requires
1 unit. It can be fixed in the rack with four screws M6. Please make sure that there is enough space around
the unit so that the heated air can be passed on. Steady overheating will damage your device.

Connecting the Receiver

1
Connect the receiver to the subsequent unit (e.g. mixer, amplifier):
• Use the balanced XLR outputs CH A and CH B for connection to balanced microphone inputs.
• Use the unbalanced 6.3 mm jack MIX for the master signal of both receiving channels, for connection to
a microphone input or a highly sensitive line input via the supplied connection cable. Use the LINE-MIC
sliding switch to match the output level to the input. Select MIC when connecting to a microphone input
and LINE when connecting to a line input.
2
Finally, connect the power supply unit to the power input of the transmitter and the mains plug to a
mains socket. Use the transmitter only with the supplied power unit. Always disconnect the mains
connector when you wish to change connections, move the unit to a different place or if it is not used for
a longer period.

Inserting Batteries into the Microphones

1
For operation, the microphones require two 1.5 V AA batteries each. Unscrew the lower part of the
microphone counterclockwise and unfold the locking part. Insert two batteries as indicated in the
compartment and replace the lower part.
2
If the microphones are not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2 weeks), please remove the batteries to
prevent damage in case of battery leakage.
