Note
The technology system data with the hardware configuration can also be downloaded in
just one step in order to eliminate the second download. The procedure described has
the advantage that the higher data transfer rate of the communications link can be used
to download the technology system data therefore reducing the time required.
If the download operation has been successfully completed, only the green and yellow
LEDs are lit. The red BF 3 LED can flash (the mode switch is in the STOP position). This
bus error occurs if the PROFIBUS address and pulse frequency configured in the
HWConfig have not yet been set on the MASTERDRIVES MC.
If the communication between the two devices is to be tested, the basic functions of the
MASTERDRIVES MC should be commissioned according to the Chapter "Basic
commissioning of the MASTERDRIVES MC" and the connection to MASTERDRIVES MC
established according to the Chapter "Connecting MASTERDRIVES MC to the
Technology CPU".
If the settings in the Technology CPU and in MASTERDRIVES MC match, the BF 3 error
does not occur and the LEDs on the PROFIBUS module of the MASTERDRIVES MC
flash in synchronism.
