    . What is blood pressure ? Blood pressure is a measurement of the force of blood flowing against the walls of the arteries. Arterial blood pressure is constantly changing during the course of the cardiac cycle. The highest pressure in the cycle is called the systolic blood pressure, the lowest is the diastolic blood pressure.

Important information before use of the device * Do not use this manual and product as a substitute for advice, diagnosing or treating a health problem or prescribing any medication by your doctor. * The device is not suitable for clinical use. * This monitor is not intended for use in the MR environment.
  • Page 10 Do not vibrate the unit during measurement, or the proper measurement will not be achieved. Perform measurement quietly in a relaxed position. Do not wind the cuff over jacket or sweater sleeve, or measurement cannot be done. Keep in mind, that blood pressure naturally varies from time to time throughout the day and also is affected by lots of different factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, medication and physical activity.
  • Page 11 For those who have had mastectomy surgery (especially whose’ lymph nodes removed), it’s recommend take a measurement on the unaffected side. When used among medical electronic equipments on the same limb, pressurization of the cuff may cause temporarily malfunction to other devices. *Note! 1.

    D. Storing, recalling and erasing measurement data: a. Storing data: 60 measurement values for 2 users each (120 memory in total) After each blood pressure measurement, the Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, pulse and the time & date of specific day will be automatically stored. The memory holds the latest 60 measurement data.

    .MAINTENANCE: Use a piece of cloth with water or mild cleansing agent to wipe the device and dry it immediately with a dry cloth. Do not use detergent or any strong chemicals to clean the device. Disinfection - Use a piece of cloth with a dilution of neutral detergent or soapsuds to wipe the surface of the cuff for 10 seconds.

    .SAFE-KEEPING: Always keep the device in the carrying case after its use. Do not put the item directly under the sunlight, in high temperature, or humid and dusty places. Do not store the device in extremely low (less than –13 °F/ –25 °C) and high (more than 158 °F/ 70 °C) temperature, nor in a place its humidity exceeds 93% R.H.

    . ¿Qué es la tensión arterial? La tensión arterial es una medida de la fuerza que ejerce la sangre que circula en contra de las paredes de las arterias. La tensión arterial cambia en forma constante durante el curso del ciclo cardíaco. La tensión más alta del ciclo es conocida como tensión arterial sistólica, mientras la más baja es la diastólica.

    La tensión arterial que se mide cuando uno se levanta, antes de tomar desayuno y estando quieto, es conocida como presión arterial fundamental. Recuerde que la tensión arterial varía en forma natural y regularmente durante el día y está afectada por varios factores tales como el fumar cigarrillos, tomar alcohol y/o medicamentos y actividades médicas.
