Threading: 1. Remove outer unwind disk (A) install new label roll and replace disk. 2. Route label web under idler roller (C). 3. Route label web around idler roller (D). 4. Thread label web through label sensor (E). 5. Route label web around the bottom of roller (F). 6.

Replacement: 1. Turn power off and unplug the labeler. 2. Move the tamp pad out of your way. 3. Remove the old covering by peeling it off. 4. Clean all the old adhesive off of the peel bar. 5. Remove the blue liner. 6.

Unpack TAL-3000C tamp labeler system from the shipping container. Inspect the labeler for damage during shipping. If damage is observed, please notify TAL before continuing. Place the labeler on a firm level surface. Plug the labeler into a 110 VAC 15 AMP (GROUNDED) Outlet. Note: Extension cords may result in improper labeler operation, and are not recommend by TAL.

Power Switch Turn power switch ( located on top of machine ) on. Check label setup by moving something in front of the product photo eye to advance one label ( See page 2.7 for label setup ). Tamp Head Set Collar Set the tamp stroke by placing the product under the tamp pad.

Loosen For Adjustment (A) Cylinder Rod Adjustment of ( A ): The height of the peel plate and the tamp pad will vary with different labels but, for a place to start is to have the peel plate and the tamp pad to be even. You can move it up or down from there.

Screw located behind slotted plate Adjustment of (B): The distance between the tamp pad and the peel plate should be as close as possible without hitting the peel plate when the tamp head travels down. To adjust the distance, loosen the two screws located behind the slotted plate. Note: The tamp pad must be level to your product when you are done adjusting the tamp pad in both A and B adjustments.

Adjustment of (C): The air assist tube can be adjusted in two ways, rotation and air flow. Rotation: On the far side of the tube there is a clamp, loosen the screw and you can rotate the tube. It should be rotated about to the center of the tamp head. If the rotation is not adjusted the air will get under the label and it will fly off the tamp pad.
The TAL-3000C has a label speed feature that will help you dispense some of the most difficult labels or help you obtain faster cycle times.

Adjusting Dwell Time: 1. Turn the labeler off; unplug the power cord from power source. 2. Remove the electric cover by removing the screws. 3. Locate the potentiometer (A & B) located on the electrical board. Potentiometer (A) determines the time for the tamp head to advance out, (B) determines the time for the tamp head to return back.

Speed Flow Control Adjustment Screws Adjusting Tamp Head Speed: 1. Turning the speed flow control screw clockwise makes the tamp travel slower. 2. Cleaning Instructions: A. Label rollers: The rollers should be cleaned and checked for wear every 500 hours of operation. The rollers can be cleaned with a mild detergent or isopropyl alcohol. B. Label Sensor: The photoelectric label sensor should be inspected every 500 hours of operation or if erratic label placement becomes a problem.

A. Peel Plate: The peel edge should be inspected for wear every 500 hours of operation and for adhesive buildup every time the system is rethreaded. B. Unwind Felt Slip Disk: This braking surface should be periodically checked to ensure that the felt disk is clean and dry.
Filter Element Replacement: Spring And Pin In This Part Air Spinner Filter Cap 1. It is best if you remove the filter / regulator from the machine, but not necessary, watch the spring and pin so you don’t lose them and you know how they go back in the housing.
