2.3 Setting the under thread

Initially, only the bobbin case is installed in the rotary hook and you will need to install a bobbin before
running the machine. First, take the bobbin case out of the rotary hook. Then, after winding the under
thread onto the bobbin, place it in the bobbin case.
Caution
Make sure to turn off the power switch before you take out or insert the bobbin case.

2.3.1 Removing the bobbin case

Open the front cover of the bed.

While holding the latch lever of the bobbin
case, remove the bobbin case from the
rotary hook.

2.3.2 Putting the bobbin in place

While positioning the bobbin so its thread winding
direction is clockwise, insert it into the bobbin case,
from the right side.
If the thread winding direction is reversed, abnormalities
in the sewing will occur.
2.
Holding the end of the thread, guide the under
thread through the slit (1) in the bobbin case.
3.
Guide the under thread to the spring edge (2).
