5 Powering on and Checking the Device

Powering On the Device
Connect the device to an external power supply and turn the switch on the panel
of the power module to ON. When the device is powered on, it takes about five
minutes to start. After the device starts, the fan sound becomes low.

Checking the Indicators
The following table lists the normal status of each indicator. If any exception
occurs, contact technical support engineers.

The LOS and RFA indicators on CVP and MTU boards indicate physical
connection status of each E1/T1 trunk. If they are off, the connection is proper.
Otherwise, check the cable connector and the peer device. The CVP board
(U1930) allows two E1/T1 trunks to share the same pair of indicators. The
indicators are off only when the both E1/T1 trunks are connected properly.
Logging In to the Device for the First Time

Connect a PC (IP address: 192.168.1.x except 192.168.1.17) to the device
through the switch, and open https://192.168.1.17/login_admin.asp in a browser.
If the message "There is a problem with this websites's security certificate."
is displayed, click Continue to this website (not recommended). Use the
default administrator account and password (admin/Change_Me) to log in to
the device and configure it.

Visit http://support.huawei.com/enterprise, download the eSpace U1900 Unified
Gateway Product Documentation or eSpace UC IPT Quick Configuration Guide,
log in to the device, and begin to configure it according to the guide. You can
also use a mobile device to scan the following QR code to download and read
related electronic documents.
