CHILD SAFETY
(continued)
X : seat not suitable for fitting a child seat for this age range.
U : seat suitable for fitting a child seat which is attached by seat belt and which has the "universal" approval for this age
range; check that it can be fitted.
I : seat equipped with anchorage points for mounting a seat for this age range using ISOFIX locks; only RENAULT seats
are approved.
L1: Seat can only be used for fitting specific height adjusters approved by RENAULT for this vehicle and which are
available from the RENAULT network.
(1) Only a rear facing child seat can be fitted in this seat; Tilt the seatback slightly and position the seat as far back as it will
go.
(2) Before fitting a child seat, position the bench seat at least one notch before its fully forward position.
(3) A carrycot takes up 2 seat positions. Position the carrycot so that the end with the baby's feet is facing the vehicle door.
(4) Place the child seat against the vehicle seatback. Raise the headrest or remove it if necessary.
(5) Before fitting a child seat, set the bench seat in the 2-seat position then push it back fully (refer to the information on
rear bench seat functionality in Section 3).
(6) A child over 10 years of age, weighing more than 36 kg or taller than 1.36 m can be strapped directly into the seat like an
adult.
(7) If the rear bench seat is in 2-seat position with the large section of the seatback folded down this prevents
the remaining seat being used for the installation of child seats using the vehicle seat belt, as it is not
possible to fasten the seat belt (seat belt buckle not accessible).
(8) DANGER, RISK OF DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY: BEFORE INSTALLING A REAR-FACING CHILD SEAT IN
THIS SEAT, CHECK THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED.
(Refer to the information on Deactivation of front passenger airbag in Section 1).
