The responsibilities, competence and supervision of all personnel involved in transport, installation, operation, maintenance and inspection must be clearly defined by the operator.

The hydraulic system sits on the extended motor shaft. The shaft runs in common bearings. Function The fluid handled enters the pump axially via the suction nozzle (10).

To prevent high temperature increases in the motor and excessive loads on the motor, seal elements and bearings, the frequency of starts must not exceed 20 start- ups per hour.

    6 Commissioning/Start-up/Shutdown 6.4 Returning to service NOTE On pumps/pump sets older than 5 years we recommend replacing all elastomer seals. For returning the equipment to service, observe the sections on commissioning/start- up (ð Section 6.1, Page 26) and the operating limits (ð Section 6.2, Page 27) . In addition carry out all servicing/maintenance operations before returning the pump set to service.
