Registering Your Product
IMPORTANT: Registration is an important part of the
setup process and is necessary to receive the benefits of
SonicWall security services, firmware updates and
technical support.
All registration takes place on MySonicWall, whether you login
directly or navigate to the site from the Email Security
management interface.
To register your product:
1 While logged into the appliance navigate to System >
License Management.
2 Select Manage Licenses.
3 Enter your MySonicWall username and password.
4 Click Submit.
The system provides notice of successful registration. If
an error occurs, the relevant error message is shown.

support.sonicwall.com/)if you need assistance resolving
it.

refer to the Email Security Administration Guide.

Upgrading your Firmware
Your new appliance comes with the Email Security software
pre‐loaded. It's a good practice to refresh the firmware so you
can be sure to have the latest patches and updates.
To upgrade the firmware:
1 Log into your MySonicWall account and download the
latest Email Security firmware to your management
system.
2 Log into the Email Security management interface,
using the admin account.
3 Navigate to the System > Advanced page and scroll
down to the Upload Patch section, under
Miscellaneous Settings.
4 Click Choose File to locate the Email Security firmware
on your management system.
