Reconfiguring a Windows 95 System

Preparing to Install
If you do not have these diskettes, create them now. Refer to
your computer's User's Guide for instructions on running
Microsoft's Create System Disks and Master Disk Creator.
The Satellite
PrOTM
435CDS is pre-installed with
Wmdows 95 only, and comes with a Wmdows 95 CD-ROM
and a Windows 95 CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk. If you're
reconfiguring a Satellite Pro 435CDS, do not modify the
Toshiba Companion Disk; instead, use the Wmdows 95
CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk and follow the CD-ROM installa-
tion steps.
Preparing to Install

CAUTION
Before you start the reconfiguration procedure, complete the
steps in the following sections.
Remove any PCMCIA-compatible PC Cards, external
monitors, or any other external devices attached to your
Toshiba computer before proceeding with this reconfigu-
ration. You can reattach these devices after the initial
reconfiguration.
Tum Resume Mode Off
Make sure the computer is not in Resume Mode. The fastest
way to do this is to use the hotkey combination
Fn
+
F3:
1 Press and hold
Fn,
then press
F3
to
display the Resume
Mode pop-up window.

Continue holding
Fn
and press
F3
to
alternate between
Resume Mode and Boot Mode.
3 When Boot Mode is selected, release both keys.
