The Advanced menu contains a variety of complex items and sub-menus
for CPU and other types of configuration.
Warning
Assigning incorrect values to items on the following screen menus may cause
system malfunction.
CPU Configuration
Menu item
Execute Disable Enables/disables the disable bit, which prevents
Bit certain classes of malicious buffer overflow attacks
when combined with a supporting operating
system.
Limit CPUID Enables/disables a maximum limit for the CPUID.
Maximum Disabled for Windows XP and newer operating
systems.
Bi-directional Enables/disables bi-directional PROCHOT#. When a
PROCHOT# processor thermal sensor trips (either core), the
PROCHOT# is driven. If bi-direction is enabled,
external agents can drive PROCHOT# to throttle the
processor.
VTX-2 Enables/disables VTX-2 mode support.
TM1 Enables/disables TM1, a thermal monitor based on
clock throttling.
