Adjust the height of the perimeter guide (2) after loosening both the outside knobs and the centre knob.
(This guide must be higher than the average jar height.)

Re-connect the machine to its electric and pneumatic power supplies.

Adjust the piston down-stroke speed to its minimum setting by loosening the knob (34) on the packer
body.

Open the inlet valve to let product flow into the machine.

Set the operation mode switch (21) (AUTO-MANUAL) to MANUAL before carrying out the following
adjustments.

CHECK that the batch quantity per cycle selector switch (22) is in its correct operating position.

Power on via the main switch (25).

The display unit (ref. Fig. 4) will read "reset emergency". Press the emergency resetting/CYCLE START
button (26).

Press the CYCLE START button (26). (The button will light up.)

Press the PLATE ROTATION button (23). (The plate will start rotating and stop when the microswitch
detects the first jar.)
S)
Adjust the transversal setting of the microswitch (9) to ensure that the jar stops exactly half-way through
the packing machine.
T)
Check that the next jar stops in the right position or carry out the required adjustments.
U)
Press the PACKER button (24) and hold it down until the packer piston has reached the end of its down-
stroke.
When this button is released, the piston will travel back up; this is especially useful to stop honey filling
when you see that the jar is full.
At this point, carry out weight checks on the filling batch, and adjust if required by following the special
packer instructions. Spot-check some jars after completing the adjustment procedure.

Automatic operation can now be programmed.
Set the operation mode switch (21) (AUTO-MANUAL) to its right-hand position (automatic position) to
start working in the automatic mode. In the Automatic mode, the buttons will light up when the packer is
operating.

At work end or IN AN EMERGENCY, PRESS THE RED (STOP) BUTTON (27).

electric and pneumatic connections.
No special maintenance is required.
The reduction gears are life-lubricated (no lubricant top-ups or changing required during their working life).
Should it be necessary to add fresh lubricant after servicing, the required amounts are: VF 30 = 45 g VF 49 =
120 g of ESSO Glycolube Range 220 oil or another equivalent type.
Keep the photocell front clean.
The plate should be washed with warm water and mild detergents of the type commercially available for
stainless steel, if necessary.
To carry out packing machine maintenance, refer to the special manual.
