OPERATION Speed Con trol / For ward/Re verse Le ver The speed con trol levercontrols the for - ward/re verse mo tion of the unit. Pushing for ward or back ward beyond the neu tral po si tion ini ti ates move ment. The fur ther the speed con trol le ver is pushed from neu tral the faster the unit will go.

OPERATION Op er ating In struc tions 1. Read and understand the Operator’s Manual before operating the VR300. 2. After start-up, select desired engine speed with the throttle. Always maintain adequate RPM to keep engine from lugging or stalling during operation.
MAINTENANCE Pre cau tions 1. Before performing any type of service or maintenance on this machine, place the VR300 in the neutral position, set the parking brake, turn the engine off, and remove the ignition key. 2. Block tires to prevent the VR300 from moving.

Check oil as follows: (Refer to page D-2 for schedule) 1. Make sure the engine is stopped, the hydrostatic oil is cool, and the VR300 is on a level surface. 2. Locate the oil level check line on plastic oil reservoir located on top of the drive pump.

1. Grease both rear wheels, the two drive wheel bearings, and the steering pivot. (1 pump each) Refer to page D-2. Do not over grease. Parking Brake Adjustment 1. Block wheels so the VR300 cannot move, and release the parking brake. 2. Loosen the jam nuts on the yoke ends connecting rod.
