Introduction
Purpose of this documentation
This manual is a brief summary of important features, functions and safety information, and contains all information required
for safe use of the gas chromatograph. Read the manual carefully prior to assembly and startup! To guarantee correct
handling, you should become acquainted with the principle of operation of the gas chromatograph.
The manual is provided for persons who mechanically assemble the gas chromatograph, connect it electrically, and start it
up.
To achieve optimum usage of the gas chromatograph, read the detailed version of the manual on the electronic data
medium.

The contents of this programming manual shall not become part of or modify any prior or existing agreement, commitment or
legal relationship. All obligations on the part of Siemens AG are contained in the respective sales contract, which also
contains the complete and solely applicable warranty conditions. Any statements on the device versions described in the

General safety instructions
WARNING
Explosion hazard through building up of electrostatic charges
To prevent electrostatic charges building up in a hazardous environment, the key cover must be closed during operation
and the screws must be tightened.
Temporary opening of the key cover for purposes of operating the measuring transducer may be performed at any time,
even during operation; after which the screws should be tightened again.

Return procedure

Attach the bill of lading, return document and decontamination certificate in a firmly affixed clear plastic pouch on the outside
of the packaging. Any devices/replacement parts which are returned without a decontamination declaration will be cleaned
at your cost before further processing. For further details refer to the operating instructions.
