When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. The following table shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating.

Charging/Recharging Using the 12 Volt DC Charging Adapter Plug the barrel tip of the supplied 12 Volt DC Charging Adapter into the 12 Volt DC Charging Port. 12 VOLT DC CHARGING ADAPTER Insert the 12 volt DC plug end into the accessory outlet of your vehicle or other 12 volt DC power source.
