Troubleshooting (cont.)
If you are experiencing issues during cooking, remove the pressure cooker from
the heat source and move to a sink. Slowly pour cold water on the lid until the
cooker is completely cooled and depressurized. Use the following table to resolve
the problem.

Using the Steamer Basket
• Your Viking Pressure Cooker comes with a stainless steel steamer basket
designed with holes to help steam vegetables, fruit, or fish. Simply place
the wire trivet in the bottom of the cooker and place the basket on top of it
as indicated in the image below.
• Add 3 Cups of water to the cooker when steaming.
• We recommend using an oven mitt to remove the basket after cooking.

Possible Cause
1) The gasket is damaged
2) The gasket is not seated
properly or is dirty
3) The red pressure indicator is
not fully in the "down" position
Solution
1) Order new gasket and replace
2) Wash or replace the gasket,
check gasket placement
3) Reduce heat, cool cooker and
ensure it is fully depressurized,
then manually depress red
