    Instructions for Use 1. Ensure that pressure release valve is in the proper position before each use. Make sure the pressure release valve, pressure indicator, and sealing gasket are clean, unobstructed and functioning properly. Make sure Easy Lock Dial Knob closes and releases without obstruction, and that the seal gasket is properly in place under the lid before securing the lid.

    Opening the Pressure Cooker In order to open the lid, the pressure cooker must be completely depressurized, with the pressure indicator completely in the “down” position as indicated in the image to the left. Use one of your hands to hold onto one handle of body, the other hand to turn the Easy Lock Dial Knob clockwise until it stops turning.

    Using the Steamer Basket • Your Viking Pressure Cooker comes with a stainless steel steamer basket designed with holes to help steam vegetables, fruit, or fish. Simply place the wire trivet in the bottom of the cooker and place the basket on top of it as indicated in the image below.
