Housing
The housing for installing the sequence chart driver
FT2001-A1 must be purchased by the customer.
The following requirements must be satisfied for
EN 54-17:
l
Weight of the housing incl. all built-in components
must be min. 4.5 kg.
l
The housing or the cover for recess-mounted
installation must correspond to protection category
IP30 at least, and be made from metal.
l
An external supply must be fitted in the housing or in
the direct vicinity of the housing.
Mounting and installation
1. Remove the sequence chart driver from the base
plate (2) by loosening the 4 mounting screws (1).
2. Loosen the inscription strip with the device ID and
keep it in a safe place.
3. For the mounting in a housing, 4 holes of 5 mm Ø are
provided in the base plate (2)
4. Mount the base plate (2) in the housing provided
using 4 x M4 metal screws, or for direct recess-
mounted wall mounting using 4 metal screws
4.5 mm Ø.
5. Mount the p.c.b. again by tightening the 4 screws (1).
6. Connect the cables of the FDnet detector line and the
external supply to the terminal X1, in accordance with
the connection diagram.
7. Connect the supply monitoring to the terminal X8, in
accordance with the instruction leaflets of the used
power supply.
8. Connect the operation LED (LED_1) to the terminal
X8 in accordance with the connection diagram.

9. Connect the extended periphery (buzzer, button
'Buzzer OFF', and lamp test) to the terminal X5, in
accordance with the connection diagram.
10. Fix the mimic display LEDs (5) on the ground plan
panel (to be supplied by the customer). If required,
separate the LED connections (4) by pairs.
11. Connect the plugs (3) of the flat cables (6) to the
plugs X11 or X12.
12. Mount the ground plan panel into the mimic display
housing.
13. When using an external supply, fit this at the site
intended (in the housing or in the direct vicinity of the
housing).
14. Then run a functional test:
·
Check the output voltage (AC 12 V or DC 24 V).
·
Test the supply monitoring by interrupting the
supply and check the fault messages on the
terminal.
15. Affix the enclosed installation plate to the housing so
that it is clearly visible and enter the installation date.
