SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (READ BEFORE FIRST USE)
The Degxel™ heaters were designed to meet the highest standards of quality, functionality and design. They can
be used in private and public spaces. The heaters comply with the CE, TUV & ROHS (230V/50Hz) standards.
Read this manual carefully before using the appliance. Ignoring the following safety instructions can cause
property damages and injuries.
This product should be used only within the framework of an infrared heating. It is forbidden to use it for any
other purpose. It must be installed by adults and responsible persons.
The heater is only compatible with an AC power supply 230V/50Hz. Connection to earth ground is mandatory.
The connection to the network is done by the appliance cord. Before the first use, check and make sure that the
heating unit is in good working condition and completely mounted. Repeat this step before each use of the
appliance. For example, if the power cord seems to be damaged, contact your retailer or the Degxel™ technical
centre to proceed to its replacement. Do not connect the appliance if the plug or the power cord is defective.
Do not plug the appliance into a power stripand. Do not use any extension cord.
Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the heating unit. If you find any abnormalities, return the product to
the Degxel™ technical centre. The appliance should never be disassembled, repaired or modified without
manufacturer's agreement. This results in an additional exclusion of warranty.
Do not handle, use or touch the appliance or the plug with wet hands.
Keep the appliance packaging out of the reach of children. Plastic bags carry the risk of suffocation.
If the appliance requires an electrical modification of your installation, contact a professional.
To avoid the risk of fire, do not cover in any case the heating unit.
The cord should not be tied or wrapped.
The surface temperature can reach 100°C. To avoid burns, it is forbidden to leave your hand placed on the front
of the heater in use.
It is not recommended to use parts or accessories not supplied or recommended by Degxel™ under the penalty
of warranty exclusion.
It is prohibited to expose the appliance to direct water jet (shower, swimming pool, etc.) or allow water to
penetrate inside. Place the heater in a clean and dry place. For the installation of the heaters in bathrooms or
damp rooms, the installer must comply with the current UK regulations BS.7671 to observe the safety distance
between the radiator and of any water projection. Call a professional.
Do not let penetrate any liquid, solid or gas in the heater for your safety and under the risk of total and
permanent exclusion of warranty.
The appliance must be connected to an electrical network with a residual current circuit breaker (CB) to protect
the user against current leakage. This element is required by national regulations on domestic electrical
connections. In case of any doubt, call an electrician. Ensure the good functioning of your CB on your electrical
installation. Make sure the electrical plug is always accessible to unplug the heater in an emergency, or if the
connection is direct as you can easily turn off the circuit.
The heater is designed for indoor use. Do not expose the radiator to bad weather and place it away from
flammable materials.
