Servicing the Engine Oil

Oil Type: Detergent oil (API service SF, SG, SH, SJ
or SL)
Crankcase Capacity: 1.7 L (57 fl oz) with the filter
removed; 1.5 L (51 fl oz) without the filter removed
Viscosity: Refer to the table

Checking the Engine-Oil Level
Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Check
the engine-oil level.
1. Disengage the PTO and engage the parking
brake.
2. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
