Error messages

When problems occur during network client mode operation, the following error messages may
be displayed. Take measures depending on the displayed message.
Refer also to "Error messages" in the Operating Guide for the camcorder.
Error message
Cannot authenticate with WEP.
The password is wrong or automatic acquisition of
an IP address has failed.
Cannot authenticate with WEP.
The password is wrong or the IP address setting is
wrong.
Failed to connect to the CCM.
Check the "CCM SET".
Failed to acquire an IP address.
Check the DNS server setting or the "CCM SET".
Failed to connect to the CCM.
Check "CCM SET" or the settings of the connection
destination.
Failed to connect to the CCM.
Check the "CLOCK SET".
Failed to connect to the CCM.
Solution
Check the password (WEP key). Check the DHCP
settings of the access point.
Check the password (WEP key). Check the IP
address setting of the camcorder.
Check
(NETWORK SET) menu t
[NETWORK CLIENT MODE]
settings.
Check that the CCM host name is correct. Check the
DNS settings of the camcorder and access point.
Check the CCM setting of the camcorder, and the
user name, password, port number and other settings
of the connected destination. Also, check the
network connection status.
Check that the camcorder clock is set to the correct
time.
Check the camcorder settings and the status on the
CCM side.
