be connected to the front panel input jacks using standard 1/4" mono plugs
(unbalanced). When you are recording a stereo source, make sure the
switch is set to STEREO (see "The INPUT MODE switch"

NEVER plug the
speaker outputs of
a guitar amplifier into the DP-01.
Use the
tuner (on the DP-
01FX and DP-01FX/CD) to tune the
guitar or bass (see "Tuning a guitar"
on page 62).
The footswitch is
useful if both hands
are busy playing a guitar, for exam-
ple.
