PREPARING YOUR ICE MAKER FOR USE When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons or property. Clearance of minimum 5 inches should be maintained at the rear and sides of the unit and 8 inches at the top of the unit.
