This manual describes how to install an HNF (Hybrid Network Fileserver).
When installing an HNF, refer to this manual accordingly, although it is not bundled in the product.
The HNF can extend 8 units of FSV-CS7 (Cache Server) and up to 4 units of LIB-162/A3, A4 (AIT
Library) or up to 2 units of CSM-20 (SAIT Library) to meet the customer's requirement.
The detail of connection is described in Section 3-1 Configuration.
This system is a hybrid NAS (Network Attached Storage) device that is composed of a main server, a
cache server, an AIT Library and a SAIT Library into an integrated storage system. It can be mounted
from an application server as a dedicated storage system. Using the pre-installed hierarchical storage
management software, each component in the system is configured to automatically provide optimum
access based on frequency of data use. All system settings and maintenance can be performed remotely
from a web-based administration screen.
