3-7. Connection of UPS

Connecting procedure
1. Shut down the system or turn off the power of main
server.
2. Connect the FSV-VN7, FSV-CS7 and Tape Libraries
power cables to the UPS.
3. Connect a dedicated serial cable between the UPS and
the serial port on the rear panel of FSV-VN7.
4. Boot the FSV-VN7. The UPS is made available
automatically with the default setting.
(When the residual power capacity goes below 5% or
less than three minutes the UPS shuts the system down
automatically.)

3-8. UPS Setting

Setting of the UPS (enable/disable) is available with HNF
V1.30 or later.
Choose [Setup] → [Software Configuration] to open the
following window.
UPS Service
To enable the UPS, check the checkbox of UPS Service in
"Action ", and press the "Apply" button.

The UPS is disabled by the default setting.
