3. MAINTENANCE
The tool is robust, completely sealed, and requires very little daily maintenance. Compliance with
the following points, should help to maintain its optimum performance:
3.1) Thorough cleaning
Dust, sand and dirt are a danger for any hydraulic device. Every day, after use, the tool must be
wiped with a clean cloth taking care to remove any residue, especially close to pivots and move-
able parts.
Regularly lubricate the moving parts and pivot pins of the head with a few drops of oil.
3.2) Storage case
(Ref. to Fig. 7 page 33)
When not in use, the tool should be stored and transported in the plastic case, to prevent dama-
ge. The case, type VAL P48, is suitable for storing the tool and accessories.
VAL P48: Size 620x360x138 mm (24.4x14.2x5.4 inches). Weight 2,4 kg (5.3 lbs).
4. BLADE REPLACEMENT
When changing blades, the battery must first be removed from the tool.
After extended use, the blades may lose their cutting edge.
Replace the blades as follows:
Disassemble the blade guide (1) removing the screws (10).
Unscrew the 20mm lockring (11) with a hook wrench, introduce the Allen key into the pin (12)
so to counteract the rotation, then extract pin and lockring.
Remove the pin(13) following the same procedure.
Remove the o-ring (15) and extract the pin (16).
Remove the damaged blades (2) extracting the bush (17).
Correctly couple the two new blades and introduce the bush into the central hole (17) then place
the whole inside the head (3).
Reassemble the pins (12 and 13) by screwing the lockring (11 and 14).
Reassemble the pin (16) through the O-ring (15).
Firmly fix the blade guide (1) with screws (10).
5. RETURN TO Cembre FOR OVERHAUL
In the case of a breakdown contact our Area Agent who will advise you on the problem and give
you the necessary instructions on how to dispatch the tool to our nearest service Centre; if possible,
attach a copy of the Test Certificate supplied by Cembre together with the tool or fill in and attach
the form available in the "ASSISTANCE" section of the Cembre website.
