How to Subscribe the M166
3.1
General
Subscribing the M166 consists of the following steps:
Setting up a template (already done in
Preparing the headset connection between the USB port on the PC and the M166
Preparing a .csv file with name number list.
Converting the csv file to an xml file with subscription data.
Read in the xml file into the DECT Manager PC.
Store subscription data from the .xml file into the M166. (This includes storing the
settings from the Template.)
3.2
Preparing Head Set connection
PROCEDURE:

Charge the M166 sets for 24 hours.

Make sure that you have the upload cable for the M166 available. Please note that
this cable consists of the Upload Cable for the G266 and G566, together with a
conversion cable: Mini jack 3,5 mm to mini jack 2,5 mm
Install the USB driver for the USB – Mini jack 3,5 mm upload cable. You will find the

driver software on the Software Database on NEC BusinessNet: "DECT" "Tools"
Flash loader 7 V2.0.1.3.
Check which COM port number has been assigned to the USB cable. (Use "Run"

"devmgmt.msc" to get access to the device manager under Windows.)
