8. Install amplifier and supplementary wiring harness (only vehicles with
on-board monitor radio and battery in the engine compartment)

Place amplifier bracket (11) on amplifier (1) and
screw it on with four fillister head self-tapping
screws 3.5x9.5 (2).
Put on plug-in nuts M5 (13).
Take note of the position of the opening (40)
for the connector of the adapter cable.
Connect adapter cable (4) to amplifier (1).
Couple the black 25-pole connector (40) of the
adapter cable (4) to the plug strip (41) and, using
a large flat-tip screwdriver (42), press in the
direction of the arrow until it is heard to engage
in the amplifier housing.
Screw on lightly pre-assembled amplifier (1) with
two hexagon head bolts M5x14 (15) to the rear
audio unit carrier (40).
Insert hexagon head bolt M5x14 (15) in the front
audio unit carrier (41) from the rear side and
screw tight with nut and washer M5 (14).
Then screw tight the two other hexagon head
bolts M5x14 (15).
Install supplementary wiring harness (4) from
installation location of the amplifier (40) to on-
board monitor radio (41) along the audio wiring
harness.
