It is crucial that the authorized person/user of this equipment read and understand these instruc-
tions. In addition, federal law requires employers to ensure that all users are trained in the
proper installation, use, inspection, and maintenance of fall protection/rescue equipment. Fall
protection/rescue training should be an integral part of a comprehensive safety program.
Proper use of fall arrest and rescue systems can save lives and reduce the potential of serious
injuries from a fall. The rescuer/user must be aware that forces experienced during the arrest
of a fall or prolonged suspension may cause bodily injury. Consult a physician if there is any
question about the user's ability to use this product. Pregnant women and minor children must
not use this product.

1.0 Purpose

Miller QuickPick™ Rescue Kits deliver peace of mind during unexpected, stressful peer-
rescue situations at heights. QuickPick Kits allow the rescuer to remotely attach the system
to a fallen worker, while remaining securely anchored on the working surface. Once connected
to the system, the worker can either be raised or lowered to safety. All the rescue components
needed are contained in one easy-to-store kit — only requiring an overhead anchorage.
Premium and Standard Kit configurations provide a choice of two options:
The Premium QuickPick Rescue Kit is the best choice for users whose job is not normally
rescue. The premium kit includes an integral Backup Braking System that acts as a second-
ary fall protection device. Should the rescuer inadvertently release the rope lifeline at any time
during the rescue, the foolproof Backup Braking System will quickly stop the system, prevent-
ing the fallen worker from accidentally descending. The premium QuickPick kit is designed
with an efficient hauling system with a 5:1 lifting ratio, making heavier loads lighter to lift.
The Standard QuickPick Rescue Kit is designed for users who are more experienced with
rescue. The standard kit provides an economical kit configuration for conducting rescue with
workers confident in managing rescue situations and systems. It is designed with an efficient
hauling system with a 4:1 lifting ratio, making heavier loads lighter to lift.
