11. Disposal

This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way:
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest Grund-
fos company or service workshop.
Cause
a) The differential of the pressure
switch between the start and stop
pressures is too small.
b) The float switch has not been ad-
justed correctly.
c) The non-return valve is leaking or
stuck half-open.
d) The supply voltage is unstable.
e) The motor temperature is too high.
f) The pump is blocked.
g) The precharge pressure of the
pressure tank is too low.
h) The pressure tank is too small.
i) The diaphragm of the tank is de-
fective.
Remedy
Increase the differential. However, the stop
pressure must not exceed the operating
pressure of the pressure tank and the start
pressure should be high enough to ensure
sufficient water supply.
Adjust the float switch to ensure suitable
time between the cutting-in and cutting-out
of the pump, see section 7.1 Adjustment of
float switch.
Clean or replace the non-return valve.
Check the electricity supply.
Check the water temperature.
Clean the pump and check that the rotating
parts of the pump can rotate freely.
Adjust the tank precharge pressure in ac-
cordance with the installation and operating
instructions supplied with the tank.
Increase the capacity of the pressure tank
by replacing the tank or supplementing with
an additional tank.
Check and replace the pressure tank, if
necessary.
Subject to alterations.
