3.7 Heating the inhalation solution

• Connect the power cord to the power
adapter and insert the mains plug into a suit-
able socket.
The LED on the power adapter will start to
light up.

Liquids can conduct electricity, thereby posing a risk of electric shock. Therefore,
never take hold of the power adapter, the power cord or the power plug with damp or
wet hands.
• Switch the nebuliser on at the ON/OFF switch (9b).
The yellow indicator lights up.
After approximately 3 minutes, the filled inhalation
solution is heated. The yellow indicator will go out
and the green indicator will come on.

CAUTION
When it is properly warmed up, the inhalation solution is at a temperature of about
80 °C. To avoid risk of scalding, keep the nebuliser closed until the inhalation session
has ended.

3.8 Performing the inhalation

Only use the nebuliser ...
CAUTION
Only use the nebuliser in ambient temperatures of not more than 30 °C. At higher ambi-
ent temperatures, the aerosol temperature at the mouthpiece would increase, resulting
in a scalding hazard.
Before the patient starts inhaling, ensure that all parts are firmly connected to each
other.
