10 After Use

10.1 Reconditioning

This product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product
for a new user, carry out the following actions:
• Inspection according to service plan. See service
manual, available from Invacare.
• Cleaning and disinfection. Refer to 9 Maintenance,
page 103 .
• Adaptation to the new user. Refer to 5 Setup, page 27.
Make sure that the user manual is handed over with the
product.
If any damage or malfunction is detected, do not reuse
the product.

10.2 Disposal

• The equipment wrapping is potentially recyclable.
• The metal parts are used for scrap metal recycling.
• The plastic parts are used for plastic recycling.
• Electric components and printed circuit boards are
disposed of as electronic scrap.
• Exhausted or damaged batteries can be returned to
your medical equipment supplier or Invacare.
• Disposal must be carried out in accordance with the
respective national legal provisions.
• Ask your city or district council for details of the local
waste management companies.
