10 After Use

10.1 Reconditioning

This product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product
for a new user, carry out the following actions:
Inspection according to service plan. See service
manual, available from Invacare.
Cleaning and disinfection. Refer to 9 Maintenance,
page 103 .
Adaptation to the new user. Refer to 5 Setup, page 27.
Make sure that the user manual is handed over with the
product.
If any damage or malfunction is detected, do not reuse
the product.

10.2 Disposal

The equipment wrapping is potentially recyclable.
The metal parts are used for scrap metal recycling.
The plastic parts are used for plastic recycling.
Electric components and printed circuit boards are
disposed of as electronic scrap.
Exhausted or damaged batteries can be returned to
your medical equipment supplier or Invacare.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with the
respective national legal provisions.
Ask your city or district council for details of the local
waste management companies.
