Introduction Dear customer Thank you very much for purchasing EOS sauna & steam equipment. You have purchased a mod- ern, technically advanced product which will provide you with years of reliable operation. EOS steam generators have been designed and tested to comply or exceed the currently applica- ble European safety norms and are produced in our factory in accordance with the quality man- agement norms DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
Steam generator SteamRock Basic 1.4 Intended use The SteamRock Basic steam generator is intended for production of steam in steam rooms or sau- na rooms with humid operation. The SteamRock Basic requires an external control unit (e.g. Econ S2) which is not included in the scope of delivery. Third party control units may not be used with-...
1.5 Foreseeable incorrect use Following may be regarded as foreseeable incorrect use: • Steam room size does not match the steam generator power (incorrect power selection). • Operation without legally required safety and protection features. • Operation without proper knowledge of the safety advices (chapter 3). •...
2. Safety advices DANGER Risk of fire and danger of electric shock. Risk of fire by incorrect installation. Make sure to have the steam generator installed only by an ap- • propriately qualified specialist according to the present instruction manual. All electrical connections in the steam generator and other equip- •...

WARNING Risk of burns through hot surfaces in the device. The steam generator has hot surfaces, e.g. pipelines, water tank, which may cause burns. Keep a secure distance to hot surfaces of the device. • ATTENTION So-called plasticizers are able to modify the water surface tension in the steam generator water tank.

Drill 4 mounting holes in the wall as shown on the template below. If necessary use the appropriate dowels to securely mount the screws in the drilled holes. At first screw in the two upper screws. As shown on the pic. 2. please make sure to leave 3 mm gap between the screw head and the wall surface.
5.5 Opening water tank The water tank can, if necessary, be opened in the following way: 1. Disconnect the generator from the power supply and turn off the water. Unplug 2-core cable from the level probe Loosen 6 allen screws at the main board.
Page 17
9. Put the cover on the vessel again. Make sure that the silicone seal ring fits on the mounting holes so that the Allen screws can be tightened. Also pay attention that the baffle plate on the bottom side of the cover will not be bended. Connect the steam pipeline back to the steam output con- nector on the steam generator.
5.7 Water supply and drain connection Important Notice: Please observe the EN 1717 / DIN 1988 and DIN 1986 / EN 12056 4 requirements. It must be ensured that the water may not flow back into the water supply system. If necessary the additional equipment has to be installed to prevent the back-flow.
5.8 Steam pipe connection • The steam pipe should be heat-resistant to at least 110°C. We recommend copper or stainless steel pipes with Ø35 mm. Do not use small diameter steam pipes! • The steam pipeline should be reclining towards the steam outlet. Sharp angles should be avoided.

6.6 Leakage current Please make sure to observe the DIN EN 60335-1:2012-10 norm in respect to the leakage current. This norm requires that the leakage current may not exceed the following limits at the normal operating temperature: “For stationary class I heating appliances - 0,75 mA or 0,75 mA per kW rated power input of the heating appliance with a maximum of 5 mA, whichever is higher.”...
Use only the suitable cleaner designed for descaling of water boiling equipment, dilute if necessary as specified by the manufacturer. The approved cleaner is availa- ble at EOS as an accessory. The warranty will be void by the use of an unsuitable and unapproved cleaner liquid.

7.2 Functioning of the cleaning system SteamRock Basic steam generator features an integrated automatic descaling and draining system. This system will automatically descale the water tank at certain intervals. These intervals depend on the evaporated water quantity. They do not depend on the total “switched on” time which may have certain intervals without actual steam production.
Page 29
8. Adjustment of the performance SteamRock Basic steam generators have a fast-tuning performance that can be adjusted to the cabin size in a few seconds on-site. The switching capacity is set by means of F-fuses (see Fig. 9) on the main terminal block.
Page 30
Special attention is required for power increase. If you are unsure which power to select, start with a lower setting first. If necessary, contact EOS Customer Service. Risk of scalding! SteamRock Basic steam generators feature individually switchable heating elements...
The SteamRock Basic does not have an on / off switch. The device is permanently connected to the mains and is switched on and off by an external control by wiring the inputs WB, S1 and N.
Page 32
9.1 Resetting the thermo-fuse The thermo-fuse switches the heating off in the event of overheating in the vaporiser tank. To perform a restart after overheating, you must press the Reset button. CAUTION Risk of burns from hot parts The steam pipe on the base plate is very hot. Do not touch the steam pipe.
Page 33
10. Cleaning and maintenance SteamRock Basic steam generators must be regularly maintained and cleaned according to the intensity of use. The built-in cleaning / descaling system increases service intervals and helps to significantly reduce the expenditure and costs of maintenance and service.
11. Troubleshooting SteamRock Basic steam generator will display the operation states and common malfunctions by flashing of the main operation LED (pilot lamp) on the bottom housing of the unit (see page 12). The pilot lamp is off if the generator is off. During active heating the pilot lamp will illuminate continuously.

Reason: Water supply blocked. Solution: Check water supply. Check if the filter mesh at the water supply connec- tor is blocked, clean if necessary. Reason: Water filling valve is blocked or faulty. Solution: Clean the valve (e.g. pressurized air) and make sure it is operational. Reason: Water level probe got stuck or is faulty.
