SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Children may not play with the device.
• Cleaning and maintenance tasks may not be performed by children without supervision.
• An electronic device is not a toy. Children do not recognize the risks which can occur when handling
electronic devices. Use and store the device out of the reach of children.
• Before connecting the device to your power supply, make sure that it is switched off and that the electric
voltage indicated on the rating plate is the same as that of your socket.
• Only insert the plug in the socket if the device is switched off.
• If the mains cable is damaged, the device must not be used any longer. For safety reasons, the mains cable
may only be replaced by an authorised service centre.
• Do not touch the mains plug when you are standing in the water and always touch the plug with dry hands.
• Avoid any contact between the device and pointed or sharp objects.
• Position the mains cable in such a way that there is no risk of falling.
• Switch off all functions after use and pull out the plug from the socket.
WARNING!
• Do not leave the device without supervision when there are children or persons not used to handling the
device around.
• Only use the device for applications as described in this manual.
• Do not allow children to play with the packing material as there is a risk of suffocation.

• Do not place or use the device on hot surfaces or near open gas flames to prevent the casing from melting.
• Do not store the device near a sink or a bathtub as it may fall or be pulled into the sink or the bathtub.
• The device has a hot surface. Persons who are not sensitive to heat must use the device with corresponding
caution.

• Do not use this device to support or replace medical applications. Chronic diseases and symptoms could get
worse.
• You should not use the Promed MSA-900 Shiatsu massage seat cover or seek medical advice first if:
• you are pregnant.

• you have a cardiac pacemaker, artificial joints or electronic implants.
• you suffer from one or several of the following illnesses or complaints:
circulatory disturbances, diabetes, thrombosis, varicose veins, open wounds, bruises, skin cracks and/

or vein inflammations.
• If you feel any pain or find the massage unpleasant, cancel the application and seek medical advice.
• Do not leave the device unattended when it is connected to the grid.
• Caution should be exercised when using the heat function. Do not use the device in the case of circulatory

insufficiency or on areas that are insensitive to heat. Risk of burns!
• Seek medical advice if you have therapeutic questions regarding the application of the Shiatsu massage
seat cover.
• In the case of unexplained pain, if you are under medical treatment and/or use medical devices, consult

• In the following cases, it is not allowed to use the device:
• in the case of children below the age of 8,

• when you are sleeping,
• in the car,
• under the influence of products which impair the responsiveness (such as painkillers, alcohol).

• Pull out the mains plug from the socket before installation, cleaning and inactivity.

• Make sure that no liquids enter the interior of the casing. This will not only damage the product, there
is also a risk of fire.
• Carefully inspect the cable, control unit and massage seat cover for damage prior to each application.
A defective device must not be put into operation and used.
