Test Procedures

WARNING
Test Procedure:
Interrupt power or simulate a power interruption by
pressing the three left hand buttons simultaneously.
Each element of each digit should light momentarily in
sequence, followed by four zeros and the four eights
with flashing indicators over the two left eights to indi-
cate the buttons to be pressed to set the correct time
of day.
Set the time of day by pressing the two left buttons and
rotating the time set knob. Push the minute timer but-
ton (far left) and rotate the time set knob to set a few
seconds on the display. At the end of the countdown,
the buzzer will sound and the display will return to the
time of day. Press the minute timer button to silence
the buzzer.
Timer Tests – Switch Contact Operation
Bench Test Procedure
1. Connect a line test cord to clock terminals 1 and 2.
Set clock to correct time of day.
2. Set ohmmeter to low ohm range.
3. Connect meter leads to clock terminals 11-12.
4. Meter should indicate no continuity or open con-
tacts.
5. Push cook time button. Rotate bake time for one
minute.
6. Meter should indicate continuity or closed con-
tacts.
7. Allow time to count down to 0:00. Buzzer should
sound. Contacts 11-12 should open.
STOP TIME Button Test
8. Push STOP time button. Set stop time to 10 min-
utes past current time of day.
9. Push in TIME COOK knob. Set bake time for five
minutes. Meter should indicate no continuity or
open contacts.
10. When clock counts down to start time, contacts
11-12 will close to start timer operation. The meter
should indicate continuity or closed contacts.
11. During the delay period, the five minute cook time
is displayed. Clock counts down through the five
minute cook time until reaching 0:00. Buzzer
sounds. Contacts 11-12 open. Meter should indi-
cate no continuity or open contacts.
12. Press minute timer button to silence buzzer. Time
of day should return after a few seconds.

SELF-CLEAN Button Test
13. Push self-clean button. Display should show 3:00,
"C" and a cooking symbol.
14. Contacts 11-12 close. Meter should indicate conti-
nuity.
15. Turn TIME SET knob counterclockwise until clean
time indicates one minute on display.
16. Allow clean time to count down to 0:00. Contacts
11-12 open, display shows time of day.
17. Repeat the above tests with the ohmmeter leads
attached to terminals 13-14. Contacts 13-14
should open close simultaneously with contacts
11-12.
Testing With Clock Connected to Oven
1. Disconnect power from oven.
2. Remove control panel glass. Remove four clock
mounting screws.
3. Remove wire leads from clock terminals 11 and
14.
4. Set ohmmeter to read 120 VAC. Attach one ohm-
meter lead to terminal 11. Attach other lead to any
white or neutral wire.
5. Turn power on to the oven. Set clock for correct
time of day.
6. Push minute timer button. Rotate time set knob to
set several seconds on display. Meter should indi-
cate zero volts as contacts 11-12 are open.
7. At the end of the timed cycle, press minute timer
button to silence buzzer.
8. Push cook time knob. Set cook time for one
minute.
9. Meter should indicate 120 VAC indicating contacts
11-12 are closed. This voltage should be present
until cook time counts down to 0:00. Contacts
should then open and zero volts indicated on the
ohmmeter.
