s e t t i n g . If you chose V I B R ATE or V I B + B E L L , the phone
v i b rates and re t u rns to Standby mode. Otherwise it just
re t u rns to Standby mode.
Ring type setting for Data and Fax Calls
This option enables you to set a unique ring type for incom-
ing data and fax calls.
To set the ring type for data and fax calls:
1 . P ress
to display the Main Menu .
2 . P ress
for Sounds.
3 . P ress
for Data/Fax A l e rt .The current setting sounds.
4 . P ress the scroll keys to scan nine ring types and fo u r
m e l o dy tones. E a ch tone sounds as you scan the options.
5 . When the desired ring type sounds, p ress
s e t t i n g .
Ring Volume Setting for all Incoming Calls
The volume of your ring will be the same whether yo u
re c e i ve a vo i c e ,m e s s age , or data/fax call. T h e re are nine vo l-
ume levels for the ri n ger including off. You can set the ri n g
volume from Standby mode or in the Main Menu .
From Standby mode,
1 . R e p e a t e d ly press the volume keys or
s c roll keys to adjust to one of nine leve l s .
Yo u 'll see the graphical indication
( s h own here) as you ch a n ge the vo l u m e
l eve l , but you wo n 't hear the ri n ger - this
is so you can avoid disturbing people when you are in a
quiet are a . The illustration shows all eight bars (the loud-
est setting). No bars indicates the ri n ger is turned off.
