N o t e : The no service indicator will always appear
when you turn on your phone. This is not a pro b-
l e m . It just indicates that your phone is searching fo r
s e rv i c e . As soon as service is fo u n d , the indicator
will disappear.
R o a m i n g : D i s p l ays when the phone is outside the home
s e rvice area but within the netwo rk . If you are :
in your home netwo rk this indicator does not display.
in a pre fe rred roaming are a , this indicator will be
on but, not fl a s h i n g .

Message Indicator: This icon indicates you have mes-
s age(s) wa i t i n g . These message(s) can be vo i c e m a i l
n o t i fication (VMN), p age ,t ex t , or Web Browser mes-

D i g i t a l : Indicates that the phone is in Digital mode.
For Data/Fax calls,Web Browser calls, t ra n s m i t t i n g
m e s s age s , and Voice Dialing, the phone must be in
d i gital mode.
Vibrator on: This icon indicates that an incoming call
will vibrate the phone rather than ring it. This fe a-
t u re can be used for quiet situations where you don't
want your ri n ger to disturb others or for loud situa-
tions where the ri n ger cannot be heard .
B a t t e ry Stre n g t h : This icon shows the level of yo u r
b a t t e ry ch a rge . The more bl a ck bars you see, t h e
greater the ch a rge .When the battery becomes ve ry
l ow, an empty box
flashes an alert ; this indicates that your phone is
about to turn itself off.
