Silencing the Ringer on an Incoming Call
When your Samsung Phone ri n g s ,p ress
silence the ri n ge r. You can also set the ri n ger to remain off
by using the Main Menu (see "Ring Volume Setting for all
Incoming Calls" on page 46).
Setting the Ringer Type
Your phone has nu m e rous options for how it ri n g s . To set
these options, see " R i n ger Options" on page 45. You can eve n
set diffe rent rings for up to fi ve people who call you often
(see " D i ffe rential Ring" on page 48).
To Mute the Microphone During a Call
You can mute the microphone during conve rsation by select-
ing the Mute option from the In Use Menu . When active ,
" M U T E "d i s p l ay s , and the other party cannot hear conve rs a-
tion at your end of the call. The phone resets this condition
to the default Unmute setting at the end of your call.
To mute the microphone during a call:

2 . P ress

other part y 's conve rs a t i o n , but they will not hear any t h i n g
on your end of the call." M U T E "d i s p l ays on the scre e n .
3 . To " u n mu t e " the microphone during the same conve rs a-
t i o n , repeat steps 1 and 2.
