before checking, cleaning or maintaining the lawn mower,

after the lawn mower has touched a foreign object. Check the lawn
mower for damage and have the lawn mower repaired before operat-
ing again,

if the lawn mower vibrates excessively.
Switch off the motor when not using the lawn mower and before emptying
the grass collection box.
Switch off the motor and wait until the cutter bar has come to a complete
standstill before removing the grass collection box.
Be careful when working close to pits, grooves or field elevations. Tall
grass can hide foreign objects. Do not mow on field elevations, ditches or
dams. You can lose your footing or balance.
Never try to change the cutting height while the motor is running.
Switch off the motor if the lawn mower has to be tilted for transport, e. g.
for changing to another grass field or for passing paths, streets or other
surfaces except of grass.
Do not lift or transport the lawn mower while the motor is running! Always
transport the lawn mower with switched off motor.
When cleaning, not in use or during maintenance, switch off the lawn
mower and pull the power plug.
Allow the lawn mower to cool down before storing in closed rooms.
Clean the lawn mower after each use.
Should the lawn mower become damaged, do not use the lawn mower
furthermore and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer
support department. Do not disassemble the lawn mower or try repairing it
yourself.
Only use accessory recommended by Westfalia. Contact our support
department.
The grass catcher and some components are subject to wear and
deterioration, which could expose moving parts or allow objects to be
thrown. Frequently check these components and replace them, when
necessary. Only use original replacement parts.
