    Safety Notes Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:  Carefully read and understand the manual before assembling and operating the machine. Please familiarize yourself with the operating element and the proper usage of the lawn mower. ...
  • Page 7 Safety Notes  Only use the lawn mower in daylight or under adequate artificial lighting.  Remove all objects and obstacles from the lawn. Make sure the surface to be mowed is free from stones, sticks, wire, bones, tree roots or other objects that can be swirled resp.
  • Page 8 Safety Notes  Switch off the engine and remove the spark plug in order to avoid unintended operation, before checking, cleaning or maintaining the machine, after the machine has touched a foreign object. Check the machine for damage and have the machine repaired before operating again, if the lawn mower vibrates excessively.
  • Page 9 Safety Notes  Only fill unleaded regular or premium petrol in the tank and do not use stale petrol. Do not use contaminated petrol or oil/gas mixtures. When adding fuel in the tank make sure dirt and water cannot get into the tank. Only fill fuel up to the level indicator.
  • Page 10 Safety Notes Warning! Warning from throwing parts. Do not mow on very steep slopes. Keep hands and feet away from openings while the machine is in operation. Stop the lawn mower and remove the foreign objects that can be swirled or thrown by the cutting bar.

    Assembly The lawn mower is delivered party assembled with tilted handlebar in order to guarantee safe transport. Hook the cables pulls into the provided holes. For proper assembly note the explanations on the next page. Connect the brake cable pull with the brake lever (6).

  • Page 13 Assembly Mount the frame for the handlebar (7) on the housing by using the wing screws (10) and the M8 screws. For tightening the screws, use a suitable wrench. Adjust the desired height of the handlebar (7) by loosening the quick lock mechanism (9). For adjusting the height of the handlebar, lift up both levers on both sides and move the handlebar (7) in the desired height.
  • Page 14 Assembly Assembling the Grass Catcher Flap the plastic holders on the three sides over the frame. For attaching the grass catcher on the lawn mower, open the deflector plate (11) and hook the grass catcher place. Release deflector plate. The plate will close automatically the grass catcher.

    Operation Intended Use Use the lawn mower only for its intended purpose, for cutting grass on lawns in private areas. Please observe the national regulations governing noise abatement. The machine is not intended for continuous professional use in public areas, parks, sport ground or farming and forestry spaces.

    Operation Adjusting the Cutting Height 1. Adjust the mowing height with the adjusting handle (5). Lift up the chassis for low cutting height and low down the chassis for high cutting height. 2. Pull the adjusting handle (5) slightly in direction to the wheel and engage the pin on the handle to the desired opening.

    Operation Changing the Cutting Bar First pull the spark plug cable! If you have to tilt or turn over the lawn mower, e. g. for replacing the cutting bar, we recommend draining the fuel tank in order to avoid fuel spillage. 1.

    Operation  For space saving storage fold down the handlebar. Loosen the quick locking mecha- nism (9) on both sides of the frame and fold up resp. down the handlebar.     Operation Mowing Hints  To not cut the grass blades too low. Do not cut more than one-third of the grass blades, as grass needs to be long enough to absorb sunshine for growing and developing.  Keep the cutting bar as sharp as possible. A blunt blade will not cut but tear off the grass blades.

    Maintenance Oil Change First disconnect the spark plug cable from the spark plug (17). 1. Unscrew the oil drain bolt by using the wrench of the size 12 and turn it counter clockwise. Remove the dipstick from the oil filler neck. Wait until the engine oil has drained out into a suitable tub.
