Add about a tablespoon of detergent to the pre-rinsing compartment in addition to the detergent in the detergent dispenser. This will im- prove the wash results for heavily burned-on food. Use an aluminium heat distribution plate between the burner and the fondue pan to protect the fondue pan and to help prevent food from burning on.
