MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
Engine Oil Rep lenishment
Check engine oi l level during pre-opera-
tion inspection (page 20) and replenish
engin_ e oil when the level is below the
lower level mark. Do not screw the oi l
filler cap dipstick i n when checking the
oi l level.

Engine Oil Change
The engine oil is a chief factor affecting
the performance and service life o f the
engine. The oil recomm ended on page 19
sho uld be used and the pro p er level al-
ways maintained. Change the oil in ac-
cordance w ith the MAINTENANCE SCHED-
ULE shown o n page 25. Engine oil change
is performed in the following manner
Drain the oi l with the engi ne warm to in-
sure complete rapid drainage.
1. Rem ove oil filler cap

from the crank-
case cover (right side).
2. Place a drip pan under the engine to
catch the oil, then remove drain plug
