Under normal conditions, generator service will not be
required on a regular basis. If operating under dusty and
If the generator set is to be out of service for a
considerable length of time (2 months or more), the
following steps should be taken to preserve the set
before placing it in storage.
1. Drain the oil (while hot) from the crankcase then
refill with regular grade oil. See Section 3, "Oil
Selection" in this manual.
2. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank to prevent
accumulated moisture from mixing with the fuel.
