VarioCAM is a robust, handheld infrared camera for precise real-time thermography. Based on an
uncooled microbolometer array, VarioCAM
The camera is especially suitable for industrial use due to the compact design and the high degree of
protection. The low weight of the appliance and the long battery running time enable effective use of the
system for plant inspection.

VarioCAM is also equipped with a digital VIS camera.
IR and VIS images can be saved on Compact Flash cards. The system has a colour finder, and in the
professional model also has a rotating and swivelling digital display.
Furthermore, various accessories and software packages for the editing and further processing of the
images culminating in real-time data transfer via an optional FireWire (IEEE 1394) interface make

VarioCAM a universal thermography system for a wide spectrum of applications.

VarioCAM quickly records the surface temperature of objects without contact. The radiometric
measuring function of the camera allows the resolution of temperature differences better than 0.1 K.
Typical applications of the system include:
Inspection of electrical and mechanical systems and power units
Printed circuit board inspection
Material examinations
Control of process temperatures
Quality assurance
