Ensure all components are mounted and that they function as intended.
  • Page 2 SAFETY Always mount the brake lever, as per the assembly instructions that accompany the chair, before the chair is used. Always apply the chair brakes before moving in and out of the chair. The lever can be moved from the right to the left side. If the chair is fitted with an electronic brake, then the switch for this is located under the armrest.
  • Page 3 ADJUSTING THE BACK The backrest can be set in a fixed angle or free floating. Adjust the height to ensure you have optimum support and a full range of motion, so you are able to do any desired activity. Choosing the correct backrest design and size, and adjusting it properly, are essential for chair functionality and comfort.
  • Page 4 SEAT TILT The seat tilt function should only be used when the chair is on a horizontal surface. The tilt range varies depending on the tilt mechanism installed and the chair settings.   • Page 5 FOOT RING AND FOOTREST A fold-up foot ring or footrest provides excellent support in an elevated sitting position. If the chair is equipped with support, it can be used to stand on when transferring out of the chair or during an activity. The footrest can be folded up under the front edge of the seat cushion for ease of movement and can easily be reached and folded out again by the user.
  • Page 6 ELECTRIC CHAIR FUNCTIONS If the chair is equipped with electric functions (lift, tilt, backrest), then one of the controls below will be mounted. The controls are movable. Do not place the control where it is likely to be damaged. The control is resistant to minor water spray but must not be immersed in water.
